brighter future amidst a bucket of wet sand. As they sift and sift, so the
unwanted debris is discarded until they are ultimately left with just those
little golden nuggets of hope. It’s the same in modern day life, if we can
learn to discard negative thoughts and feelings (which serve us no benefit) and
focus instead on what’s of real value, only then can we move towards the
positive future we desire.
SiFT is a forward thinking therapy practice, established to
help clients address whatever it is they wish to change, resolve, overcome or
achieve. Therapy sessions can be conducted face to face in the comfort of your own
home, in our central Norwich practice rooms, or via Zoom video….which means it
doesn’t matter where in the world you are, we can connect!
Solution Focused Therapy concentrates on your present
circumstances in order to find solutions to specific issues, and/or seek out
those elusive improvements & changes you may wish to make to your life.
It differs from traditional types of counselling therapies in
that it is goal oriented and does not involve any deep analysis of your
past. More time is spent on creating a
picture of the kind of outcome you desire. This is achieved through a mix of
psychotherapeutic work (talking) and compelling neuroscience, which gives you a
real understanding of how your brain works in relation to the way you feel and
why the body reacts in certain ways during times of stress & disruption.
When coupled gracefully with hypnotherapy, we can really
reinforce positive change and help you to become the happiest, healthiest
version of yourself through building new positive patterns of behaviour and
breaking any contradictive cycles of negative thinking.
The good news is it can also be a relatively short process,
with measurable results achieved within a defined number of sessions, making it
less costly than many other types of traditional therapy.
A typical session lasts around 1hr 10mins in total. For the first 30-40 minutes we will work through some psychotherapy and then move on to a relaxing hypnosis reading. There is absolutely nothing to fear with hypnosis, it’s just a nice relaxing experience – very much like daydreaming – and you will be in complete control at all times. In fact it will leave you feeling refreshed & content…many say it’s a wonderfully calming experience, much like receiving a massage.
We start with an initial consultation, which takes around 45mins and is free of charge. During this we will develop a clear understanding of what it is you wish to address and how we can work together on finding the solution. Thereafter, I will recommend a number of sessions, most likely between 4 and 12, but this number depends on the situation or issues we’re addressing. Session rates can be discussed during the initial consultation – often clients choose to block book a number of sessions, schedule one per week and take advantage of a better rate. Rest assured though, it is incredible value for money when measured against your future potential for happiness, health and emotional freedom!
